Buffalo Valley Youth Association is proud to congratulate league president, Johnie McDow, on being named to the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District Hall of Honor. Mr. McDow and his fellow inductees were honored for "helping enrich the lives of the children in SCUCISD either by example or direct involvement" at an awards ceremony on October 3 at the Clemens/Steele football game.

Mr. McDow has served on the BVYA Board of Directors for the last 14 years, where he has helped to provide organized recreational sports for literally thousands of area youth. He tireless support has facilitated the strong relationships BVYA enjoys with the City of Schertz and SCUCISD, and has grown a small springtime baseball and softball league to the largest youth league in Northeast San Antonio with programs including basketball, volleyball, football, cheerleading and competitive swim team.

TIME CHANGE:

The Buffalo Valley Youth Association monthly Board of Directors meeting will change from each second Monday at 7:00 p.m. to each second Monday at 6:00 p.m., effective September 8, 2008.
