WELCOME TO BVYA BASKETBALL

LIL TYKES BASKETBALL – designed to be totally instructional for Pre K and Kinder players. Games are played at Wilder Intermediate. No score is kept but a referee is provided to maintain order.

Jr and Sr Co-Ed Divisions – Jr Division 7^th/8^th grade, Sr Division 9^th thru 12^th grade. These divisions will not begin practices until mid December, games will start in January and will run through mid February. We will schedule a separate picture day for these divisions in January. You will not receive a call from a coach in these divisions until December.

Girls Only Basketball – We will attempt to field girls only teams in Midget, Intermediate and Jrs. We interlock with teams in surrounding areas so you will have some away games. If we cannot field enough girls to form teams in any division, they will be given the option to play co-ed or receive a refund.

FUNDRAISER AND CAR DECALS TURN IN: Saturday, December 12^th, during picture day at one of the local schools, location and times will be given to coaches and posted on website at a later date. Can also be turned in during regular office hours prior to deadline. Contest for top seller in fundraiser ends at 3pm on December 12^th. Any money turned in after this time, will not count towards contest.

LIFETOUCH PICTURE DAY: Saturday – December 12^th at one of the local schools. Coaches will receive picture schedule with game schedule and location of pictures at a later date.

SCOREKEEPING CLINIC: Tuesday, November 17^th and Thursday, November 19^th. Both sessions are the same, will begin at 6:30pm at the BVYA Office Building located on Oak St.

SPURS GAME - Friday, January 22^nd, San Antonio Spurs vs. Houston Rockets. All ticket orders must be turned in by December 12^th during the fundraiser turn in. There are a limited number of $18 tickets available; these orders will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. As soon as the tickets are received (in January), we will contact parents and they can be picked up during office hours.

AFTER GAMES: Teams are responsible for cleaning the bleachers after your game. If you are the last game of the day, all equipment (including official scorebook and controller) must be put up. Gyms floors must be swept after each game and/or practice. On Saturdays, all trash cans must be emptied and taken to the dumpsters in the parking lot. Please assist with the clean up as much as possible. The schools do NOT clean up after us, YOU DO.

SCUCISD Gyms: There are no coolers or ice chests allowed in the gyms. You can bring water or Gatorade bottles in, but no coolers. No smoking is allowed on any SCUCISD school site, including the parking lots. NO BASKETBALLS ARE ALLOWED to be brought into game gyms. Coaches will provide warm-up basketballs and game balls. ALL unauthorized basketballs or other types will be confiscated and removed. This is to reduce the damage to school walls by kids bouncing balls on walls and ceilings.

REFUNDS: Refunds are issued based on when they are requested. 100% refund prior to team selection. Once teams are selected and practices have started refunds are 50%. First day of games (Dec. 5^th) there will be no refunds issued. To request a refund prior to games beginning, you must contact the office and leave a message or send an email to address bvya@sbcglobal.net'
